The Pyrenees are home to an endless collection of breathtaking landscapes: dramatic peaks, crystal-clear alpine lakes, wild rivers, hidden waterfalls, and timeless mountain villages. Yet among this extraordinary scenery, a select few summits rise above the rest. Shaped by their height, character, and unmistakable presence, these iconic peaks have become the true icons of the Pyrenees.
On this photographic journey across the mountain range that stretches from the Cantabrian Sea to the Mediterranean, we will seek out some of these legendary peaks and capture them from the finest and most accessible viewpoints, always at the most magical moments of the day. From sunrise light touching granite summits to dramatic evening atmospheres in remote valleys, every location has been carefully selected for its visual impact and photographic potential.
Throughout the tour, participants will be guided by Sebastian Vervenne, an experienced photographer and expedition guide with years of working in remote landscapes around the world, together with Francesc Muntada, renowned photographer and nature photography teacher, with more than 40 years of exploring this mountain range. Combining local knowledge, photographic expertise, and a deep passion for the mountains, they will help you improve your photography while experiencing the wild beauty and unique atmosphere of the Pyrenees.
Winter transforms the Pyrenees into a landscape of silence, contrast, and extraordinary beauty. Snow-covered summits, frozen lakes, misty valleys, and the warm tones of sunrise and sunset create ideal conditions for landscape photography. With crisp air, dramatic atmospheres, and often stable winter weather, this is the season when the mountains reveal their most powerful and photogenic character.
During this adventure, you will be guided by two passionate photographers with complementary experience and deep knowledge of the region. Sebastian Vervenne, a Belgian photographer based in Catalonia, combines years of experience in expedition guiding and outdoor photography, and speaks Flemish, English, and Catalan. Alongside him is Francesc Muntada, photographer and photography teacher, widely experienced in leading photographic journeys and workshops, who speaks Catalan, Spanish, English, and some French.
The journey will be coordinated by Marta Begué, who will oversee the logistics throughout the trip and ensure a smooth, welcoming, and inspiring experience for the entire group.
